Limited On-Site Operations at SyCipLaw Offices During the General Community Quarantine.

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, from August 19 to 31, 2020 –
(a) Metro Manila and Cebu City will be under general community quarantine (GCQ), [1] and
(b) Davao City and the Subic Freeport Zone (which is part of the province of Zambales) will be under modified general community quarantine (low risk) (MGCQ) [2]
— pursuant to an announcement made by the Philippine President.
Under GCQ, (1) all residents are required to observe minimum public health standards at all times, (2) movement of people is limited to accessing essential goods and services and reporting for work in industries allowed to operate, (3) public gatherings are still prohibited, (4) public transportation may resume operations at a reduced capacity, and (5) certain establishments such as law firms may operate on-site at up to 50% capacity.
Under MGCQ, (1) minimum public health standards shall be complied with at all times, (2) work in all public and private offices may be allowed to resume physical reporting to
work at full operating capacity, and (3) public transportation are allowed to operate following guidelines issued by the Department of Transportation.
Please note that to protect the safety of our employees, we will have limited operations at our main office in Makati City and at our branch offices in Cebu City, Davao City and in the Subic Freeport Zone.
